Basecamp is the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door, meet new people, and get your orientation ratings for some of the Outing Club's most popular activities. The weekend of September 20th-22nd, 36 first-year students will travel to Devil's Lake and participate in backpacking, paddling, and mountain biking orientations. Earning your orientation ratings allows you to go on larger trips with the club, such as Spring Break mountain biking in Moab or summer backpacking in Olympic National Park. Basecamp is also a great opportunity to develop relationships with new and returning club members who share similar interests. Thanks to our sponsors, Basecamp will also feature a raffle that gives participants the chance to win outdoor gear, gift cards, merch, and more! The best part of it all? Your food, transportation, and campsites will be covered, making this event completely free to any first-year students with active Outing Club memberships!!!
