Top-rope Climbing

Want to learn one of America's fastest growing sports? Rock climbing with the Hoofers Outing Club is a great way to learn the ropes. The Outing Club owns six sets of top-roping gear, so you don't have to own equipment. Expert club members can show you how to set up an anchor system, tie knots, belay, and climb.

Each week, club members lead several trips to Devil's Lake State Park, Wisconsin's premier rock climbing area. Weekend and evening trips allow you to experience a wide variety of climbs. The Outing Club also takes occasional tips to Interstate Park and the Mississippi Palisades. No matter what your skill level -- beginner or advanced -- the Outing Club has great rock climbing opportunities for you.
